Frequently Asked Questions
"HW" stands for Hermann Weihrauch, the founder of the German company that manufactures Weihrauch air rifles. Every model uses the HW prefix followed by a model number, such as the HW45 and HW44 pistols, the HW97K and HW77K underlever spring rifles, the HW95K and HW80 break-barrels, and the HW100 and HW110 PCP rifles. In the UK, the official importer is Hull Cartridge. Genuine UK supplied rifles are stamped "Hull Cartridge". If a rifle doesn't have this stamp, it's a grey import, which means it won't be covered by the UK warranty.
Yes, Weihrauch air rifles are widely regarded as some of the best built airguns in the world. They're known for their outstanding accuracy and the crisp, fully adjustable Rekord trigger. They also hold their value better than almost any other make as well. Whether you shoot HFT, field target, hunting or plinking - a Weihrauch (from the entry-level HW99S to the flagship HW100) is a rifle you buy once and keep for life. Which is why we've sold and serviced them for over 45 years.
The Rekord is Weihrauch's legendary two-stage, fully adjustable match trigger, fitted to their spring piston rifles such as the HW97K, HW95K, HW80 and HW77. Widely rated as the finest factory air rifle trigger in the world, it lets you tune both the pull weight and the let-off to your taste. Which is one of the main reasons Weihrauch springers are so accurate. The PCP models, like the HW100 and HW110, use Weihrauch's own dedicated match trigger unit.
The best Weihrauch depends on how you shoot. For a PCP, the HW100 is the flagship for hunting and target work, while the HW110 is lighter and cheaper on price. For a spring rifle, the HW97K underlever is the HFT and target favourite, and the HW95K break-barrel is a powerful all-rounder. For those who are new to air rifles, the HW99S is a superb first Weihrauch. Every model comes in .177 and .22 (some in .25), and our team can match one to your budget and use.
Yes, we deliver Weihrauch air rifles directly to your door across mainland England and Wales. Order before 3:30pm on Tuesday and your rifle arrives the following weekend, hand delivered by a Registered Firearms Dealer (RFDs) with the filling equipment and air already inside. Home delivery is £25, and free on selected combination and pro combination packages. We cover every county from Greater London, Kent, Essex and Surrey, through the Midlands and Yorkshire, up to Lancashire, Cumbria and Northumberland, and right across Wales including Cardiff, Swansea and Wrexham. Home delivery isn't available in Scotland, where your Weihrauch is instead collected from a local RFD. Not sure about your postcode? Call us on 01268 784 469.
Weihrauch's PCP air rifles are the HW100, HW100X and HW110. Their spring-powered air rifles are the HW97K, HW77K, HW95K, HW80, HW99S and HW35. The PCPs run on compressed air from an onboard cylinder for recoilless, multi-shot shooting, while the springers are self-contained and need no charging kit. You simply cock and load. Weihrauch also make pistols in both types: the HW44 is PCP, while the HW45 and HW40 are not. Every model is available in .177 and .22.
Both the HW100X and HW110 are side lever, multi shot PCP air rifles, but they suit different buyers. The HW100X is Weihrauch's flagship: a higher capacity PCP with a premium walnut or laminate stock (the "KT" versions have a thumbhole), built for serious hunting and target shooting. The HW110 is lighter, slimmer and more affordable, with a synthetic or laminate sporter stock (easier to carry all day and the best value way into a Weihrauch PCP). Both come in .177 and .22 and both deliver the accuracy Weihrauch is famous for.
The HW44 and HW45 are both Weihrauch air pistols, but they work very differently. The HW44 is a PCP pistol (pre-charged, multi-shot, with a side-lever action and near-carbine power). The HW45 (known in the US as the Beeman P1) is a spring-piston pistol with a distinctive 1911 style profile, cocked by lifting the top strap: a single-shot classic that's been a favourite for decades. Both are available in .177 and .22.
